When I started this there were no good general meditation options in Tallahassee, FL. You see, it's a fact that up until now most folks came to meditation through mental health or spiritual routes. Now, though, more and more people realize the benefits of practical meditation techniques like the ones we teach. So what do we mean by practical?
Well, meditation has to be useful. You have to get something tangible out of it to continue using it. And it helps if those tangible benefits come fast. Also, it has to be accessible. It cannot be a piece of a system that requires rigid adherence and long spans of practice. Every bit helps, but the real benefits come from the system, not just one lesson. So our system has a few simple goals and a few easy exercises. And it has a teacher. That's another stumbling block to finding meditation that works. Apps are great and there are some great lessons and exercises on YouTube (and every bit helps), but a teacher is what can make the difference between meditating once or twice and making it a part of your life. So as far as I can tell, I'm Tallahassee's only non-spiritual, non-therapeutic, in-the-flesh meditation teacher. If that's what you're searching for, then try one of our free classes. --Jeff
